Halloween

Halloween. That means Halloween parties. That means Social time. That means I have to keep to my promise to Judge. Evidently most of the people at this college don't realize that Halloween costumes are supposed to be scary. They seem to prefer slutty, racist, or stupid. I went as a half-assed Jason Voorhees, while Carlos went as a stereotypical magician. Loads of fun, the food was shit and the anonymity of the mask was comforting. Still, guess who else was there? Kruger and Kase. Could this be friendship, Future-Me? Probably not. The Timberwolves have started referring to Carlos and me as "Timberpups" or "Wilykit and Wilykat" because Wolves = ThunderCats, for some reason.

Kruger and Kase were dressed as "Dollface Mask Guy" and"Guy in Yellow Hoodie with a Black thing on his face" respectively. According to them, they were dressed as "Masky" and "Hoody" from a web-series called MarbleHornets. Some kind of Blair Witch style horror series, about a Really Tall Guy in a suit who stares at you. It didn't sound too scary, really. So Kase pulled up a video and soon the four of us, plus a few others I didn't know, were watching the series. It was pretty good, honestly. We didn't watch it all, though, just about 25 Videos or so. Kase mentioned it was fairly inaccurate, and Kruger clarified that there was entire little corner of the internet dedicated to stories about the thing "The Operator" was based off of, called The Slender Man. Some kind of child eating monster with no face. The Operator looks like it and acts like it, but doesn't really... Well... Operate like it. Might be something to dig into next Halloween.

Next big Holiday is Thanksgiving, I guess, which I am not looking forward to.

Why do Wolves Worship a Spider?

So, it turns out that Carlos has made some buddies in the Timberwolves. Victor Kruger and Jacob Kase, are their names. I've seen them around, but don't really know them personally. Kruger is a strong looking guy with a perpetual mean look, and weird colored brown hair and hazel eyes, while Kase is a smaller, thinner dark haired guy who seems pretty quiet for a Timberwolf. Anyway, they invited Carlos to a bonfire gathering at 3 AM, and decided I could come too. Well. I promised the Judge.

It wasn't really a... Party though. I mean, I had heard of some of the really weird shit that the Timberwolves did and the College allowed for some reason. In this case, it was the Annual offering to The Spinner. What is the Spinner? I have no idea. Kase told me it was an urban legend with several different supposed origin stories. Most of the Wolves basically treat it like a religion worshiping Spider-Man. There were about a 100 people at the bonfire, and some of them were even wearing black robes with the hoods up. It would have looked very cult-y if most of them weren't completely shitfaced and trying to scare their friends by sneaking up on them in masks with the robes. Still, I gotta admit being a little creeped out by the couple of them in the robes that were treating this seriously. Most of them had Flashlights, except for a couple of guys close to the bonfire, who had actual torches.

So, the Bonfire is supposed to be a sacrifice to the Spinner, to keep him from... Exacting bloody vengeance of some shit. The way Kase explained it, I don't think anyone in the Wolves actually really knows why they do this little ritual every year. Not that they do it right anyway. Kase said they don't know what the offering is supposed to be, so they just kind of throw in old clothes, monopoly money, booze bottles, food and any old shit they don't want. There IS a set volume though, and the "High Priest" or whatever he was supposed to be, noticed it. Apparently, this year, someone's offering portion was smaller than it needed to be. High Priest Guy asked that person to step forward or suffer The Spinner's wrath and anger. No one did, and the Wolves started making death jokes.
During all this Carlos was busy helping Kruger with emptying his booze bottle offering. I was ready to leave, honestly.

But then the High Priest guy kind of shrugged and started throwing shit into the fire. I did ask Kase why the school allows this stuff, and he told me he doesn't know. But he did point out that one of the friggen School Board members was at the bonfire. Thomas Corvin who, if I recall, is a stupidly rich guy who owns the majority of the county. Still, I don't quite think supporting a pseudo-cult is something he supposed to be doing, so I really have to wonder why he was here. According to Kase, he never went to this college, so... I dunno. The whole thing just felt off to me.

Starting to rethink my promise of becoming more social, if this is how people are.

Family

Back from the Judge's and he's doing fine. If there's one thing I cannot stand about college, it's how hard it makes it to visit the Judge. Best parent I never had, barring some big life changing event that makes Mom and Dad worth a damn. Not likely, is it Future-Me? I hope the Judge is still around whenever your reading this. I really don't get it, though, how did Judge turn out the way he did, while Dad became the exact opposite? Never gonna ask that question to Judge or Dad, though. Gotta be a happy family, sane, normal and happy.

Anyway we didn't talk too much about what happened last year, so that was nice. I mostly just talked to him about school, and my "peers." Evidently he wants me to try and pick up some magic tricks from Carlos, but I'd rather not have Carlos calling me as his padawan, or Teller, or whatever. That would be just embarrassing. He does want me to start being a bit more social, since college is supposed when you form all sorts of lasting friendships and stuff. Promised him I would go to the next big party, gathering thing I get invited to.

I wonder if Judge ever gets married? Future-Me, seriously, start encouraging him if he isn't. He'd be a great Dad, and he really doesn't deserve this kind of loneliness, especially now that I am no longer his de facto son.

He did want me to visit Mom and Dad though. I... Probably won't before Thanksgiving, though. Certainly don't want to interrupt their parties, no sir. Besides, given everything, I really don't want to be around them and alcohol, and you know Dad's drinking problem isn't going to go away just because I ask. Judge knows that too, but he really wants me to maintain a relationship with Mom and Dad. He shouldn't worry, so much. I'll probably keep some ties to them, if only for his sake. Though I guess I should try bugging them about actually handing out candy this year, since Halloween is just a week away.

I'll just do it tomorrow.

Yeah, Still Doing This

I guess I should say sorry to Future-Me for the big time gap. Despinos decided to ask about the blog, and I had to tell him that I had, uh, forgotten about it. I was kind of in a bad place when I put that last post up anyway. You understand and stuff. Anyway, therapy is a bitch as always. I've never been one to air my dirty laundry to others, but that's what we're paying for, so I better just suck it up. Moving on is a slow and painful process, or Dr Despinos tells me.

Bought a new harmonica today. Turns out I'm not as rusty as I thought I'd be, which is pretty nice. Gives me a weapon against Carlos for the time being, since he seems to hate harmonicas. I don't really blame him though. Poor guy has obviously been musically impaired for a while, given the (c)rap he listens to on a daily basis. He might never understand that shit like that isn't real music. Now that, is real tragedy.

Something else to look back on and either laugh or scowl at, Future-Me. College homework is surprisingly easy. The crap in high school seems more difficult than this stuff! High school me could breeze though this stuff, and I was a complete idiot back then. Now that studying has become a priority, this stuff just feels really, really easy. But it probably does get harder, and you would know all about that Future-Me. So, maybe have a good laugh at how naive I am right now. Could use a bit of laughter.

Oh. And I visit the Judge in a couple days. Looking forward to that.

Been a Year

Its that day again.

That idiot Carlos got himself trapped in a straight-jacket and started screaming like an idiot. Freaked me the fuck out. Fucking isn't the day for shit to be startling me like that. Should have just left the dumbass to struggle a bit more and

Well, I have homework and crap to do anyway.

Alone Again

Enrique Houdini has vanished to a party, leaving a mess all over the room. Isn't that Great? Might as well blog about it. That's what this thing is for, right? Complaining and letting crap off my chest? Look... Carlos is a good guy, and we've been friends for a little while now. But I really and truly wish I was rooming with someone who was less... uh... extravagant. Do I smell rabbit shit? Probably. Lets hope it's in the cage this time. There are also cards everywhere, and many of them do not even belong to the same deck, or series. Does he expect to do card tricks with Magic and Yugioh cards? Maybe, but that doesn't explain the fact there are hundreds of the damn things laying everywhere.

Future-Me, I don't know if you remember what this dorm room looks like, but you will probably recall that it isn't that big, and it is longer than it is wide. Which means the mess tends to get concentrated in the area near the beds. Including mine, which I sleep in. I do not appreciate rabbit fur and rabbit shit in my bed, and I think most people would share the sentiment.

Well whatever.

I suppose cleaning is a decent excuse to not bother with that irritating party, filled with irritating people. A couple of Timberwolves too, by the look of things. I prefer to avoid that crowd. Anyway, Future-Me, I'm starting to realize how ridiculous this Future-Me stuff is, so... If Despinos isn't watching, what he doesn't know won't hurt him, and won't keep wasting me time with something I will never go back and read.

I Guess there is a Second Post

You know, I was kind of hoping both me and Doctor Despinos would forget about this whole blog thing. But we aren't that lucky are we, future me? Because, really, I am hoping only future me will ever find this stupid thing. Or maybe I should write like I have some kind of invisible audience? Maybe that will make it more tolerable? Or maybe it will completely defeat the purpose of this thing. I dunno, I'm not the therapist here. Page views show that no one but me has been looking, so thats good. I figured Doctor Despinos might try and see for himself, but I guess not.

You know what I hate? I hate Rabbits. I really, really hate rabbits. They shit everywhere! So naturally, I would have room with the guy with a pet rabbit. Future-Me, you remember Carlos right? I hope to God you don't. That might mean we remained friends in the far future, and that can't be good for my reputation. Unless he dropped the magician act? That could make him more tolerable. Then, again, I suppose the only thing he might drop the magic hobby for is being a non-ironic clown, which I don't think are currently a thing anymore. At least, I hope not. Creepy guys. You never know if any of them could be a past, present or future Gacy.

OK so I guess the magic thing isn't that bad. At least it makes kids laugh and smile instead of crapping their pants in sheer terror. Uh... What else... Classes were boring and uneventful. Criminal Justice looks to be going about as well as we had hoped, but you would know better Future-Me.

Oh and that's nice. Timberwolves outside doing stupid shit. Meaning that idiot fraternity, not actual wolves, Future-Me, in case you forgot. I can't actually remember what their name really is. Don't really care to, either. Like most fraternities, they are just a bunch of loud, drunk, morons. Kind of reminds me of Mom, now that I think about it.
