Guys, we did it. We actually won a victory today over that son of a
bitch who was drugging us.
I don't know what the bastard's plan was, but it failed. Really, I
don't know how it could have succeeded, all things considered. We
were just settling down to go to sleep, so we could continue sweeping
the area for Kruger, when that sweet smell filled the air. We aren't
as dumb as you think, jackass. We immediately knew who it was and
what was coming. It... Still affected us, a bit... But it was just a
hallucination. The Faceless fucker is a monster, but Spinner is just
a guy. He kicked open the door, and... Just for a second we just
stared at the hallucination. Those eyes... If... When I make it out
of this, I think those eyes are going to stick with me for as long as
I live... Darkness just doesn't get more black than that.
Or so I thought at the time.
He rushed at Carlos, probably trying to take him like he did Kruger,
but I managed to intercept him and got him good where I think his
head was. I guess.. The Gas made me think he made this screeching
sound at me, and he backed off into the hall. Carlos ran after him,
and so did I. I don't know if the pain in my knuckles, after hitting
him that hard, made me shake off the hallucinogen faster, but as we
chased him out of the building into the night, I felt my mind gain
clarity. I could see that what we were chasing was not a Spider
Monster, but just a guy in a padded hoodie, with a weird mask. He was
fucking fast though, but not as fast as he thought he was. He would
slip around some corners and stop to check if we were still
following. And we were.
Some of Corvin's Timberwolves found us and tried to stop Spinner, but
he apparently had some kind of gas sprayer in his sleeve, and hit
them with a face-full of that shit he used on us. I could hear the
Timberwolves screaming, as we chased Spinner into the theater room.
He made a beeline for the stage, and activated one of the same
fucking trapdoors we use for Carlos' act... Now that I think about
it, that Anonymous douchebag commenter did mention he watched our
act. Maybe he wasn't in the audience after all...
Like I said before, there was an entire basement level under that
stage. It turns out, it wasn't as unused as I thought it was. Spinner
ran through the place like he knew it well, but we had no idea what
the layout was like. It didn't take us long to lose him. The black
clothes and mask made him blend in good with the dark, and we didn't
bring flashlights. As we searched for him, we realized that going
down here without a light source would be a really bad idea. So we
had no choice but to head back up and grab some flashlights. Carlos
wanted to get Agent Elliot... And he was probably right... But I
didn't want to risk Spinner slipping away. I wanted to end this shit
there and then.
Well, obviously I didn't, but we did find something fucking insane.
After about thirty minutes of checking every nook and cranny, we
noticed a trap-door behind some boxed, almost covered with a rug. It
was unlocked, so we opened it and crawled in. You would not believe
what was down there... I can't really bring myself to fully believe
it myself. There was an entire ruined... Temple, or... Fucking...
Authentic as shit Haunted House, Castle, thing. There were mostly
unlit torches along the walls at the end of the moderately short
ladder down into a stone staircase. It was a blackish stone, or very
dark gray, and it wasn't natural, that was for sure. It looked
carved. But... I'm not, a mason or anything. The end of the winding
staircase down into the darkness, opened up into a larger area filled
with oddly new looking wooden benches. There was a large doorway at
the end of the room, as well as a long empty looking tunnel off to
the right side, coming in. The darkness inside it looked...
Unnatural, would be the only way to describe it.
Three things were noticeable in this room, aside from the doors and
benches. The first, was that it was absolutely infested with insects.
Big insects. Roaches were scuttling around the ground, feeding on the
corpses of other dead bugs. The air was alive with buzzing and
fluttering, but it was still too dark to really tell what kind of
bugs were flying around. Spiders were everywhere, in nearly every
corner and around nearly every bench, and some of them looked like
fucking tarantulas, in how big they were. The really bizarre thing,
is that none of those flying insects landed on us. All the insects in
the room seemed to keep at a distance, and it was... Like they
cleared a path for us, when we walked near. The second noticeable
thing, was that there were still burning torches in places, almost
making the flashlights unnecessary, in places. But just outside the
light, the darkness was thick and deep, almost seeming to eat up the
light we shined into it. I just... Know... They were infested with
more of those spiders and insects. And maybe other things...
The third... Noticeable thing... Was what made us decide to leave
early, without finding Spinner... There was this... Big Statue in the
center of the room. Of a Spider. With a fucking human face on it. The
expression was one of... Doubt, I guess, or inquiry. It was...
Lovingly detailed. Hairy, and the joints on the legs made it almost
look like it could come to life at any second. Everything about it
made me feel wrong. I mean... The whole place had me feeling like I
shouldn't be there... But that statue was a fucking abomination. The
way the insects moved around it...
I'm just... Not going to talk about it anymore. We left almost
immediately upon seeing the thing, not even bothering to explore the
other areas of that place. Elliot was waiting for us outside of our
Room.
We told him what happened, and we told him that the guy in the black
mask and hoodie ran down a trap door in the basement of the Theater
building. What happens next is up to him, I guess... Hopefully he
will take care of Spinner. So we can focus on The Slender Man at long
last.
You guys in the comments know more stuff than me, and I... Gotta
know. What the fuck did we find down there?
Oh look, he thinks he's all tough now. This is just a friendly reminder to all our dear readers who enjoy commenting: Remember, we are watching. We are screening your comments, and if we do not care for what inane drivel you are spouting to our poor little mark, we will not hesitate to delete it. That goes double for the Ex-Lord Guardian and the Zombie.
ReplyDeleteEx my ass. I think I figured out who you lot are. Contain and exterminate.
Delete...you do realize that the itsy bitsy spider lead you there on purpose, right?
ReplyDeleteCan't help you on what you found. Alter shit... maybe another fear or something? There was one that had a thing with bugs, but I don't remember much of anything about it. Probably that fangirl built the school on an old cult ritual grounds. you know the type. hoods. chanting. human sacrifice. Normal drill, all in all.
Here's my advice for you at this point, kid.
Run.
Don't care how, don't care where, don't care about any of it. You're being watched, and, worse than that, you're still diving head first into shit that is GOING to get you killed.
Get out.
Run and don't stop Running.
Take a new name. Run credit card scams. Steal purses. Do whatever you have to do to stay alive, but don't stop. These fuckers you're playing with will try to stop you, or convince you you can't for whatever fucked up reason... but remember. They are human. Insane, but human. You can get ahead and KEEP ahead of a human.
Best of luck.
That does sound like Corvin, doesn't it... Still, I mean... Where the hell did it come from? Who built it?
DeleteWe can't just leave, not yet... Spinner is going to be hunting us, same as Slender Man. If we can get rid of Spinner, we can focus on the Faceless Bastard. Then, maybe we can get out of this alive... Besides, we still haven't found Kruger. We are in a fairly crowded place, the FBI is already watching... Corvin probably doesn't want to kill us, considering he hasn't already. So I think... We're in the best position to deal with these assholes here, on familiar ground.
You can't count on the FBI. Elliot sounds straight forward, but he's only as good as the uppers let him be, and they WONT let him do ANYTHING for you. Do you understand that? It's going to come down to the exact same fuckers who got me locked up in a rubber room for three years after they realized I was too involved. I hate to say it, I do, but you're on your own. You have to start thinking like that.
DeleteWhere there is a ritual chamber, there are tunnels. Threading everywhere. And probably a shit tone more chambers. And god only knows what else. Obviously, you're not as "familiar" with your surrounding area as your opponents are. THEY are the ones familiar there, kiddo. They WANT you to stay there.
As for Kruger.... call me what you want, but I'll say it for you. He's probably dead. And even if he isn't... it's up to him to catch up, alright? This isn't a game you want to be a shining knight in. Look after yourself first.
Wherever you go, we will find you, wherever you hide, we will be there. We are patient predators, little fly, you know this by now. Don't you dare leave the hunting grounds behind. It might buy you a little time... But it will be your parents and dear Uncle who suffer for it. Mark my words. We control the game. Not you, not the prey. You exist to suffer and behold His glory. Your role is not finished.
DeleteOh, you little shit.
DeleteI've heard enough about Tall and Scrawny's "Glory", asshat
do you WANT me to come join your little play, shit for brains? Because I swear on your Little Stick Man, that I will. And I won't be ANYWHERE NEAR as hesitant to put a round through your twisted skull as Elliot is. I've fucking had it up to HERE with pretentious proxy bullshit.
Do not doubt I can find where you are.
and I am ALWAYS extra crabby after a long drive.
Really now, my dear. You've only just now had enough of our "pretentious proxy bullshit?" As I recall, you were once married to the proxy Nightscream, correct? That one redefined what it meant to be pretentious, in addition to incompetent. Rest assured that we won't be quite as easy to break or kill as your pathetic corpse of a spouse. You see, unlike Nightscream, we don't underestimate our enemies, or get in over our heads. And we will continue to enjoy a long, prosperous career long after our current mark is dead.
DeleteWho knows, perhaps you will be the subject of our next hunt. Wouldn't that be lovely? Aren't you just dying to join your spouse in hell?
really. Such a shocker. Want to get under my skin, so you immediately go for my spouse to wave in my face. I thought you proxy shits were supposed to be original, but all I ever get are the same damn reruns. Or did you really think stating the fucking obvious is going to bother me?
Deletemaybe it is time to change the channel. Once you're gone, someone new has a chance to at least be a LITTLE BIT interesting.
It is good to know you don't underestimate me then.
Cause this 'dear' is getting very fucking close to taking your 'prey' away from you. JUST because I know I can. Can't do much about The Tall Fuck, of course, but I can at least take YOUR fun away. Who knows, maybe Slender Shit might even find it amusing. Watching an old, retired piece return to the board only to teach the new Trash a lesson or eight.
Well, it was either that or a few remarks about your time spent in the loony bin. But I felt that was a low blow, you poor dear.
DeleteYou are welcome to try. It just provides someone else to take away from Jeremy. You see, the key to a successful hunt is to ensure that the prey has hope of escape... Then slowly snatch it away. I expect the Agent Winstead situation will resolve itself in time, but you... We can kill you.
You know, your spouse wasn't exactly the most popular member of our little association. I can think of a few people that might be in mood to take out their past frustrations on a washed-up old FBI dropout.
